
For the 2010 campaign, CWGL initiated a new online partnership with Stardoll - the world’s largest online fashion and games community for girls. As part of the collaboration, Stardoll hosted an online 16 Days Campaign where members could create fashion items using the 16 Days logo and motif; receive purple ribbons for visiting the 16 Days Facebook page; view resources on VAW for youth; and ask questions of the three featured spokeswomen – Radhika Balakrishnan, Sharon Bhagwan Rolls (femLINK Pacific), and Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda (World YWCA). This creative partnership was a huge success: Stardoll received 10,100 questions from members in 147 countries, and the online campaign generated more than 127,000 clicks to our pages. Stardoll members acquired nearly 70,000 purple ribbons and other 16 Days design items. In addition, there was a great deal of press coverage of the collaboration with over 200 articles written – one of the largest amounts of coverage Stardoll has received from a single press release.
